Project examples
  • CFL bulb replacement project
    • Replaced 77,000 incandescent bulbs with CFL bulbs in over 26 participating hotels island wide
    • Since 2002: Saved 26,000 MWH or     27,000 t/CO2
    • By 2012: Will save a 49,000 MWH  or  50,000 t/CO2
12
CFL Bulb Replacement Project
  • Equivalent Savings
    • That is the equivalent of 8,000 homes energy use in UK
    • One jumbo jet flying across the Atlantic
    • 12,500 cars per year off the road in Canada
13
Project examples
  • PCJ Energy Audits
    •    Conducted 23 Hospital Audits

    • 5 Comprehensive audits
    • 18 Walk through audits
14
PCJ Energy Audits
  • Key Findings
    • Electricity was the main fuel cost with total annual cost of $USD 2.5 million or 13.9 million kwh.
    • Breakdown of electricity cost showed that 49% was AC use, 23% was lighting and 28% other (hardly no hot water present)
    • Savings found average of 40%
    • - Average payback of 1.5 year

S.O.L.I.D. & Eco-Tec
What we do
  • We deliver: Turn Key Project implementation
  • Performance guarantee contract for payback time
  • Export finance possibilities

  • R&D activities in the field of solar thermal
    • - Development of innovative solar control
    • - Solar collector development for higher temperatures
    • - Solar cooling

17
How does solar cooling work
  • Through more high efficient solar panels we create consistence heat of 93 degree Celsius
  • The energy is stored in a heat storage tanks
  • By feeding into high efficient absorption chillers we create heat exchange
  • This process is all computer controlled so that we can optimize the system to customer needs
