Robert and John are two
friends who were discussing the Cricket World Cup 2007 after work. John is an
Engineer working with the Energy Ministry and Robert works with the Ministry of
Transport.
You know I ‘always’ think of
ways to save, so I plan to take the bus or
drive with some friends from work. I might even
ride my bicycle to save on gas and avoid
traffic jams.
I heard that you are planning to go to
the Cricket World Cup. I
hope you’re not planning
to drive alone!
As you mention save on gas.
There are some other things you can do to
save energy.
Like what?
I didn’t think of all of
that! I am definitely going to try them
and ensure I control my energy use during
world cup!
Sounds like we are
on the right track, John…..now
let’s talk about the Cricket World Cup
– who do you think is
going to win?
West
Indies for sure! You know that West Indies is
my team.
Those are not the only things you
will control. If everyone is energy conscious
the entire country will benefit.
Well, turn off all light-switches and unplug all unused appliances before you leave home. Also make
sure if you’re watching the matches on TV don’t keep the radio on and buy an
ice box to avoid going into the refrigerator too often
for drinks.
