What is Climate Change?

Climate Change is the observed change in climate which can be attributed directly or indirectly to man's activities that change the composition of the atmosphere in addition to natural changes which occur from time to time by releasing which prevent heat from escaping the earth's atmosphere at a normal rate. These gases are called Greenhouse Gases, a few common ones are:

  • Carbon dioxide

  • Methane

  • Nitrous Oxide

  • Chlorofluorocarbons

As a result of Climate Change there will be alterations in the general weather pattern such as the increased intensity of extreme events e.g. Hurricanes and Tropical Storms and sea level rise.
